THAT REMEMBRANCE
Resurrection and Life (John 11:25)
We welcome you to the House of Prayer, the Spirit Life Centre for All Nations. Prayer is the key that opens and closes. Prayer is like the air we breathe; it must be done always and as often as possible each day. Because it sustains us, it keeps us alive and connected with our Creator God. Praying to a man or woman of faith is like breathing to a natural man or woman. So be in the attitude of prayer because you are in the house of prayer.
Mark 11:25, "And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive them, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins.
You must always remember that you are a sinner saved by grace. It is the will of Jehovah God for you to remember that you sinned and have been forgiven. For it is that remembrance that creates a loving, helpful, and compassionate heart in you towards others. Forgiveness is not based on the magnitude of the sin but on the magnitude of the Father's love. Jesus never bothered how grievous your sins were when He said, "Father, forgive them". If you consider the size of the sin committed against you, you will find it very difficult to forgive. And once you don't forgive, then your sins before Jehovah God are also not forgiven. As long as you hold someone guilty before you and then you should know that you too are guilty before Jehovah God up in Heaven.
In mercy, we are not excluded. It is always unreasonable to forgive your enemy until you realise that you were once an enemy of God until He forgave you. It is this remembrance that creates love, compassion, and helpfulness in your heart. Until that forgiveness is voiced and received, we should not pray because if we are not forgiving, the power of faith is short-circuited. Thus, it was Jesus' great design to engage all His followers to love and forgive. As you made this, begin to remember who you need to forgive today. Anywhere you are, as you have forgiven those who sin against you, get ready for your forgiveness to be voiced and received in the cleansing power of the blood of Jesus Christ by faith.
When you forgive, you should also forget what you have forgiven. But in a case where you still feel pain when you see the person or think about what they did to you, then know that you did not forgive to forget it, but only forgave to pretend. True forgiveness makes us forget the offense done to us. Just like Jesus Christ, He forgave Apostle Peter for denying Him three times and also forgot about it, that is why when He met him after the resurrection from the dead, He never reminded Peter by saying: "Can you see Peter, 1 told you that you would deny Me three times. If Jesus Christ reminded Peter, it would have meant that He did not forgive Him. As long as you hold someone guilty in your heart, then know that you, too, are held guilty in the heart of God the Father. This remembrance will help you NEVER to hold anyone guilty or keep a grudge against someone. You won't forgive to feel better, but you will forgive to be forgiven also.
Forgiveness is not a thing of feelings. We don't forgive our offenders to feel better, but we do it because it helps us obtain forgiveness for our sins before Jehovah God. Those who consider their feelings before forgiveness will never see the reason to forgive their offenders, never. So, to a true Christian, forgiving their offenders is a MUST to them because they know that they also need Jehovah God to forgive them for their own offense towards Him. Do you know that we offend God every day? That is why the Holy Scriptures say in 1 John 1:10, "If we claim we have not sinned, we make Him out to be a liar..."
PRAYER: Forgive me, Oh Lord, I will be forgiven, in Jesus’ Name. Help me to be like You in my heart by forgiving others the way I want You to forgive me.
We believe that your time with us has been blessed by the Lord God of Prophet Daniel Manko. We pray for you and pray with you that whatever you brought before the Lord our Savior will not escape His mercy and grace to receive the desires of your heart in Jesus Christ’s Name.
