THE LOVE CHALLENGE

Resurrection and Life (John 11:25)

Welcome to the Arena of Liberty, the Spirit Life Centre for All Nations. We call it the Arena of Liberty simply because of the presence of the Spirit of the Father and Son, Jesus Christ, that is present here 24/7. Say; “Oh Holy Spirit, I know that You are present here. Fall afresh upon me, enter my soul and make my heart Your dwelling place.”

In Genesis 2:19-20, Adam was freely communicating with Jehovah God in the Garden of Eden. He brainstormed with God and he received a direct assignment from Him to name all the living creatures here on earth and those are the names we call them today. Look at the kind of relationship Adam had with Jehovah God. We are made to understand that Christianity is not a religion but a relationship with the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

Love cannot exist without a relationship because it can be manifested only where there is an object to be loved. Jehovah God wanted a love relationship, so He created Adam. Adam was alone, so Jehovah God created Eve (Genesis 1:26-27 & Genesis 2:18-22), this is the golden threat that links creation. It all began with LOVE. Before Adam disobeyed Jehovah God, there was no sin or death. Immediately after his disobedience, Romans 5:12 says that sin and death, with all their evil companions (hatred, bitterness, jealousy, sickness, disease, torment, etc.), entered the world. Adam failed to play his role, and his relationship with him and Jehovah God suffered a great setback. Adam could no longer function the way Jehovah God had created. We are designed to think, talk, plan and act with God, our Creator.

Brethren this relationship is very important in the sense that all we have is actually a reflection of our love relationship with Jehovah God. If you want a great breakthrough, have a great love relationship with God. If you want a strong relationship in your marriage, have a strong love relationship with God. satan knows this that is why the greatest thing he aims at is to overthrow your relationship with Jehovah God. No matter what happens to you, always remember that nothing is ugly, heinous (wicked), deep, or dark enough to stop Jehovah God from loving you, but failure to walk in love can almost shut down one’s spiritual walk with the Lord. That is the greatest challenge we face in our day-to-day lives.

John 15:9-12 says, “As the Father has loved Me, so loved I have loved you. Now remain in My love. If you keep My commands, you will remain in My love, just as I kept My Father’s command and remain in His love. I have told you this so that My joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete. My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you.”THIS IS THE LOVE CHALLENGE’. The success of any relationship depends on both parties. Jesus Christ has played His role by paying the price for the salvation, healing, deliverance, and breakthrough you are seeking today. What about you? We have a role we ought to play by ourselves, which Jehovah God cannot come down from Heaven to do for us (John 16:3).

Are you expecting something good from God your Creator? How many good things have you done as a reflection of your love for God today or yesterday? Matthew 6:33 says, “But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well”. What a promise! Just as a car cannot take you to places on its own unless you drive it, so it is with the Word of God. Although there are many promises for every matter in the Holy Bible but the Holy Bible cannot work on its own; you simply have to make it work. It is the doer of the Word that receives things or answers from Jehovah God. You should always see your situation as a challenge to your faith in Christ Jesus, not a personal challenge. When you begin to see your situation as a personal challenge, you will be self-centered and super sensitive that if any little thing hits you, you will find yourself at an intersection where you have to choose your direction. Most times, people are concerned about how they are doing, feeling and how they are treated. Because of that, many take offence at dealing with their situation. This offence will then give birth to anger, hatred, and corruption. Offence in itself as a thought is not deadly, but feeding on it in our hearts makes it deadly. It is this offense that will lead you to death in all areas of your life. Then, the person most hurt is you.

Luke 17:1 states that it is impossible to live this life and not have the opportunity to be offended. As Psalm 66:18 says, “If I had cherished sin in my heart, the Lord would not have listened”. Certainly, offence is not a way of life. Thoughts of holding an offence may come and persist in staying but if you refuse to put them into words or action, offence will die unborn. What are you thinking right now? What you think is very important because your thoughts greatly influence your actions. You are what you think about all day long. Stop holding an offence and START LOVING. The Holy Bible says in 1 John 4:16, “God is love, and he who abides in love, abides in God, and God in him”. There are three things that remain: faith, hope, and love but the greatest of these is love (1 Corinthians 13:13).

We, Christians, are known by our love. Why then do many waste time on things of less value, like offence? If offence is in place in our heart, love must be displaced and vice versa. Offence and Love do not have anything in common. Love is lost and is the cause of the major problems the world is facing today. Real love forgets wrong so that there is hope for the future. You need to forgive because you need to be forgiven. Forgiveness of sin strikes the root of all pain. As you are forgiven, the mercy and favor of Jehovah God will follow you in all you do. In mercy, Jehovah God has called you and saved you. In mercy, Jehovah God has called you and forgiven your sins, and brought a breakthrough into your life. Brethren, Jesus desires to heal your wounds, deliver, and bless you today. He desires to change your life, put an end to your problems and heal you but oftentimes, you don’t allow Him because that is not the easiest way, the way of obedience. Obeying Jehovah God at first seems very hard until you come to see that all He asks is for your good which makes life full and free for you.

Life is all about choices; choose love because love leads you to a blessed life. Take this love challenge and see Jehovah God’s love expressed in your life through prosperity, good health, and continued mercy. Take the love challenge and make Love the greatest as well in your heart and life every day. I mean, let love lead.

I want to leave you with this prayer:

Let every barrier between your spirit and the Spirit of God be removed, in Jesus Christ’s Name. That barrier may be an unforgiving spirit, resentment, hatred, jealousy, or offense that be removed in the blood of Jesus. Oh, Holy Spirit, take more of me and give me more of You, more of Your love, faith, obedience, in Jesus Christ’s Name Amen.

Thank you very much for giving the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit your time and attention today. We advise you to please do it every day, no matter how busy you are in your day-to-day life. This will benefit you both physically and spiritually and will also help you to live a well-balanced life each and every day.
