Resurrection and Life (John 11:25)

Happy and blessed New Year!

Welcome to the very working place of the Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit, and the Hosts of Heaven, the Spirit Life Centre for All Nations. Now that you have arrived where the Lord wants you to be today, begin to acknowledge your position as a sinner in need of His mercy and forgiveness. ‘Holy Father, Holy Son, Holy Spirit, all I ask is mercy to receive from You Most High God what my heart and life need for this New Year’. Don’t ask for many things, but for His mercy to receive from Him today. This will allow Him to give you what He knows that you really need instead of you telling Him what you think you need for the New Year.

Do you know the power you are under? By the grace of Jehovah God, we don’t have to struggle in our own strength, intelligence, and ability, which is never enough. We, citizens of Heaven, are not alone; we have the Father with us. We know Jehovah God and His throne are backing up each word we say. We are not anxious for anything because we have His angels, His host, and His soldiers round about us. When Jehovah God walks, power walks; when Jehovah God looks, power looks; when Jehovah God speaks, power speaks. When you know the power you are under, fear of satan is foolish and fear of demons is nonsense. Knowing which power governs your heart and life frees your heart in the present from all kinds of fear.

The clearer sight we have of the sovereignty and power of Heaven, the less we would fear the calamities of earth. Instead of magnifying the cause of our fears, we should possess ourselves with the great, gracious, Heavenly thoughts of Jehovah God embodied in Christ for the enlightenment of our souls. Mature Christians know the power they are under because it is revealed to them by the Holy Spirit through constant meditation in the Holy Scriptures. Our knowledge of the Holy Bible must be broad and full. Don’t make the Holy Bible say what you want to hear. Don’t bring in what you think you need to hear. This is about what Jehovah God has to say to you. Respond to Him in dialogue. That means it is as much about listening as it is about speaking. Open your eyes and your heart to hear His voice. You can read and think and pray all day, but unless you live in God’s Word as well, you miss the point. The Word helps us walk with Jehovah God, receive from Him, and fulfill His Will on the earth.

Those people who choose the scriptures they want to live by are not eager about such other areas as holiness, consecration, evangelism, tithe, judgment and the love of Jehovah God. However, these other areas and the love of Jehovah God work together to develop us spiritually. But all that such people want is merely to receive from Jehovah God; that’s all. They don’t want to come back to Him with thanksgiving offering and tithe to say ‘Thank You Lord for giving me a salary every month or business every week.’ They often pray – ‘God, give me, give me…, but they never bring back to Him what He tells them to bring to His house of prayer. Instead, they just want Him to keep giving them more. They are not aware that obedience keeps us under Jehovah God’s power while disobedience takes us out of His power. Obedience gives Jehovah God more room to bless and multiply what we have, whereas disobedience gives satan more room to curse and destroy what we have. Many are not aware of this.

For the Lord, Your Keeper and Redeemer, promises in Isaiah 43:2-3, “When you go through deep waters, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown. When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you. For I am the Lord, your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior.” This promise is only for the obedient, not those who ask for it. We receive this grace of protection while we are busy obeying the Lord every day, not when we encounter trouble, NO! The word we obey every day puts us and all our possessions under its power.

PRAYER: Lord Jesus, when I am agitated and fearful, let me know the power I am under - that settles it.
