—Statement of Faith—
The Work of the Holy Spirit, the Salvation of Christ, and the Hope of Eternal Life
The Holy Spirit, in perfect unity with the Father and the Son, played an essential role in creation. The Father sends His Spirit to transform us into the likeness of His Son, Jesus Christ. The Jesus we know and follow is Jesus manifested through the power of the Holy Spirit. He gave us a profound promise in John 14:16-17: “I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Counselor to be with you forever—the Spirit of Truth. The world cannot accept Him, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him. But you know Him, for He lives with you and will be in you.”
The Holy Spirit abides with believers eternally, though He is recognized and received only by those whose hearts are open to Him. He convicts us of sin, leads us to accept Christ as Savior, and radically transforms our lives—this is the miracle of conversion, being born again (John 3:3).
Jesus Christ: Savior, Redeemer, and Intercessor
Jesus is the ultimate soul-winner—the very purpose of His life, death, and resurrection was to restore the broken relationship between God and humanity. In His humanity, He was a descendant of David; in His divinity, He was "declared with power to be the Son of God by His resurrection from the dead" (Romans 1:4). Now, He reigns at the right hand of God (Hebrews 12:2), interceding for us. Though tempted in every way as we are, He remained without sin (Hebrews 4:15). He loves us, died for us, rules in power for us, and still prays for us.
The Divine Authority of Scripture
The Bible is not merely ancient history or wisdom—it is the living Word of God, inspired by the Holy Spirit (2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:21). It carries God’s eternal message of grace and truth, speaking directly to us today.
Salvation: Deliverance from Sin and Death
Sin leads to eternal death, but God’s Word points us to life. For those who receive Christ as Lord and Savior, a glorious future awaits—a new body, soul, and spirit (1 Corinthians 15:52-53). The Holy Spirit testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children (Romans 8:16).
Salvation is freedom from sin’s penalty, received by faith in the cleansing power of Jesus’ blood. Each person must personally accept Christ as Savior—otherwise, His death does not apply to them (John 3:18).
Transformation by the Word and Spirit
God’s Word renews our minds, while His Spirit empowers us. To be born again, we must embrace both the Word and the Spirit, coupled with repentance and faith.
Divine Healing: Christ’s Provision for Wholeness
Healing is God’s supernatural restoration of health, received by faith in Christ’s finished work. The suffering Jesus endured—before and during the cross—secured our complete healing: spirit, soul, and body (Isaiah 53:5; 1 Peter 2:24). This healing is part of the redemption He purchased at Calvary.
Baptism and the Holy Spirit’s Power
We believe in water baptism and the baptism in the Holy Spirit, evidenced by speaking in tongues as the Spirit enables (Acts 2:4). Every true believer is baptized into Christ’s body by the Spirit (1 Corinthians 12:13). When the Holy Spirit fills you, His power comes upon you as it did at Pentecost (Acts 1:8), producing rivers of life, joy, love, and power to bless others (John 7:37-38).
The Lord’s Supper: A Sacred Remembrance
As Jesus instituted in Matthew 26:26-28, the Lord’s Supper is a holy communion where we remember His sacrifice: "This is My body... This is My blood of the covenant, poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins." Following the Spirit’s guidance (1 Corinthians 11:26-31), we partake in reverence, proclaiming His death until He returns.
The Glorious Return of Christ
Jesus will come again, just as He ascended (Acts 1:11). At His return, the dead in Christ will rise first, and believers will be caught up to meet Him in the air (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17). This is our blessed hope!
